Marjorie Kovler Research Fellowship

The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation is delighted to announce its Marjorie Kovler Research Fellowship conducted for the year 2020. The award is intended towards the United States students to promote a greater appreciation of America’s political and cultural heritage.

The program aims to enhance its museum and exhibits and helps people to understand the significant challenges facing democracy today; that inspire current and future generations to political participation and public services. The students will get adequate funds to complete their studies.

The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library or Museum is the presidential library or museum of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. It provides the library with financial and creative resources with which to enrich its many academic programs, to grow its research and archival capacity.

Who May Be Eligible?

To be eligible, students must take a look over the eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must be legal residents of the United States at the time of applying for the Marjorie Kovler Research Fellowship.

All eligible candidates need to download and submit their completed application form with the required credentials via email to the Fellowship Coordinator at Kennedy.Fellowships@nara.gov, or submit through mail:

Supporting Documents

  • A brief proposal (no more than four pages) including the following information: the planned project and its significance; collections you will consult at the JFK Library and other institutions; the intended audience and expected outcome of your work.
  • Two letters of recommendation from academic or other appropriate references.
  • A sample of your writing (no more than ten pages)
  • A CV or resume.

Benefits

The successful candidate will receive the amount up to $5,000 as award money. The prize money will be useful for recipients to pay for their further educational expenses related to study such as tuition, fees, books, room, etc.
