Students studying in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire and pursuing an Associate degree as Veterinary Assistant or Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine have an excellent opportunity to win the Margaret D. Bell Memorial Scholarship Fund. The program is organized by the Monadnock Humane Society.
Peggy Bell wanted the welfare of animals to continue in future generations. This award provides support to those making a lifelong commitment to animal welfare through their vocation of veterinary medicine. The program aims to support the education of students and to give animals the love and care they receive.
The Margaret D. Bell Memorial Scholarship fund was found in October 1988 in memory of “Peggy” Bell who was a lifelong advocate for animals. Peggy devoted her own life to animals and to help improves the lives of animals in her community. She was a strong supporter of the Monadnock Humane Society serving on its board of directors for many years.

Who May Be Eligible?
Students who qualify the below-given criteria should only apply for the program:
- Applicants must be a student’s originating in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire.
- Applicants must be pursuing either an Associate’s Degree as a Veterinary Assistant or a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
- Applicants must indicate their intent to practice or be employed in the Monadnock Region upon completing their studies.

Supporting Documents
- Two (2) personal or educational/professional references are required to submit written recommendations on your behalf.
- Sporting documentation from the registrar of the school you are (will be) attending to send confirmation of your enrolment
Benefits
The winners will get to receive scholarships ranged from $500.00 to $2,000.00 per award. Students are advised to utilize the amount towards their high-cost educational expenses such as tuition, fees, books, etc.
