This grant supports the young candidates to enhance the growth of Maine. The program promotes education in the state of Maine for the ultimate development of the state. The grant is purposely designed to make it possible for every Maine resident to pursue higher education and benefit the society with their knowledge. It reduces the financial load on the candidates and helps them in competing for their education free of worries.
FAME’s mission was significantly expanded when the agency assumed responsibility for administering the state’s higher education finance programs. Through a variety of loans, grants, and scholarship programs, FAME helps Maine students and families meet the costs associated with higher education. To aid in this vital effort, FAME also oversees an extensive outreach and counseling program that is designed to encourage young people to aspire to and pursue higher education.
