Maine Community Foundation is all set to invite applications from eligible candidates for its new and very exciting Adult Learner Scholarships. These funding programs target to support adult learners in pursuing higher education by relieving some of their financial burdens. Through these programs, the foundation wants to ensure that all deserving students have access to the right education and opportunities. This funding promise is especially for Maine’s nontraditional students who seek to change their life for the better through education and training. Applicants of these programs can be enrolled full time or part-time in the study program.
These scholarships will provide the support to a range of training such as attending two and four-year colleges and universities, completing a certificate and other non-degree programs, or attempting a self-directed learning experience with a clear goal. Nowadays, many students complete their education with the huge loan debts that have to be repaid with high interest or they have to limit their education to control their educational expenses. The organization knows that pursuing higher education can be stressful and full of challenges for students experiencing financial difficulties and to ensure that no student has to leave their educational dreams, it has established these beneficial scholarships that will help them overcome their obstacles.
Maine Community Foundation was started in 1983 and since then, it has been working toward improving the lives of all Maine’s people. The foundation works with donors and other partners to achieve its main purpose of helping adult learners and other nontraditional students complete a degree or certificate program and maximize their potential. It provides personalized service, community leadership, and a deep understanding of local issues. MaineCF has always been dedicated to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and contribution in making Maine a safe, welcoming, and accepting place for everyone.
