The Iowa Communications Alliance is proud to offer two $2,500 college scholarships to support students from rural areas in Iowa pursuing higher education. These scholarships aim to assist graduating high school seniors or current full-time undergraduate students in their academic journey and encourage them to contribute to rural Iowa after graduation.

Who is Eligible?
- Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Graduating high school senior or current full-time undergraduate college/university student continuing their education in the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Parent, guardian, or applicant is currently employed by or associated with an Iowa Communications Alliance “Voting Member” Company.
- Accepted by or enrolled in an accredited two or four-year college/university or vocational school.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 4.0 on a 5.0 scale.
- Express interest in living and working in a rural community following graduation.
How to Apply?
- Access the online application at www.iacommunicationsall.org/ica-scholarship-programs and complete it electronically.
- Ensure all information is complete; incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Prepare essay responses to 2 of the 3 provided questions and upload the essay document as a PDF within the online application form.
- Describe a situation when you faced an obstacle or adversity and how you overcame it.
- How have you made an impact on others in your community?
- How would you define “success” in your post-collegiate career?
- Include your most recent grade transcript with the social security number masked out.
- Do not include any photographs with your application.

Benefits:
- Two $2,500 scholarships awarded annually.
- Funds will be disbursed for the fall and spring semesters upon proof of enrollment.
- Awards will be paid directly to the school in the student’s name.
