For example, we have a large number of people working at Nellis Air Force Base and the surrounding technology sector.

Our economy is thriving right now, and we have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country (even lower than some states). This means that finding a job won’t be much of an issue if you are moving here with a specific career in mind.

Las Vegas is also a major player in the convention and trade show industry, with large-scale shows taking place almost every month of the year here at one casino or another! This provides a lot of opportunities for those who want to work in customer service or as part of event planning.

There are also many casinos that offer opportunities for those with big personalities who want to work in the entertainment industry. If you have a talent, there is no doubt that Las Vegas is somewhere you can showcase your skills and make money doing it!

3. Entertainment in Las Vegas

4. Safety of Las Vegas

As with any major city, Las Vegas does have its’ share of crime. However, it is no more dangerous here than in many other large cities in the country. The majority of people who live here never experience any problems, even when they stay out all night on The Strip!

The problem is that many people only see the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas through media sources, so they get a false impression about what this city is really like.

Las Vegas has an amazing amount of police officers who patrol the city all day and night, so you don’t have to be concerned about personal security. The Strip is also known for its’ high level of safety due to video cameras on almost every corner!

5. What are the Costs of Living in Las Vegas?

The cost of living in Las Vegas is much lower than most other major cities in the US, meaning that your retirement income will go further here. While it is true that you can find almost anything you want or need living in Vegas (notoriously known for its’ 24-hour everything), you don’t have to spend much money to live comfortably!

For example, if you’re looking for an apartment, you can find many nice places to rent for $500 or less. You can also purchase a house in some of the less expensive neighborhoods in Las Vegas for around $150,000-$200,000, which will give you plenty of room for yourself and your family!

Transportation costs are pretty low here too. Most people get around by car, and gas prices are currently very low. Or if you want to save even more money, the bus and light rail system here is known for its’ convenience and affordability.

6. Las Vegas Weather

The weather here is great for most of the year. It’s usually dry and hot and gets super cold during the winter months. Snow is a very rare event in Las Vegas, but it does happen every few years!

The best time of year to visit Las Vegas is during the spring and fall, which are both mild seasons here. You can expect hot days (typically above 100) and cool nights around this time of year!

Las Vegas has a pretty stable climate, but it does change from time to time. Every now and then, you will see a cold front come through that will cause the temperatures to drop into the high 50s and low 60s for a few days at a time.

In addition, it does rain during the winter months. If you miss the snow back home, you will be able to see a little bit of white stuff from time to time!

7. Las Vegas Transportation

Transportation can be a bit rough here if you don’t have a car. Public transit is limited, and Uber does not operate here. If you are moving here without a vehicle, I recommend looking for housing near the bus lines or in downtown Las Vegas where you can get around easier!

8. Las Vegas Communities

There are many different types of communities in Las Vegas and the surrounding area, so you will definitely find whatever fits your needs! From planned communities like Summerlin to “gated” neighborhoods such as Aliante and Inspired, there is a community for every type of lifestyle.

If you’re interested in living in a specific type of community, I recommend doing some research online before moving here. That way, you’ll be prepared when it comes time to move, which will make your transition much more convenient!

9. What are the Best Places to Live in Las Vegas?

The south end of town on including Henderson, Green Valley South, and Anthem, have some of the nicest neighborhoods in the city with great schools! The west side of town is also a safe and family-friendly area with plenty to offer too.

Las Vegas is full of friendly people, so you shouldn’t have any problems getting along with your neighbors. Most people love the warm weather, so they are very easygoing as long as you respect their space!

10. What are Some Things to do in Las Vegas?

I could list hundreds of things here, but I’ll keep it simple. People come to Vegas for the casinos, nightlife, and entertainment, so if you’re looking for something to do on a Friday night, there’s no shortage of options!

Las Vegas has some great eateries, too, so you don’t have to worry about going hungry. If you love a great steak, I would definitely recommend checking out Certified Angus Beef on West Sahara.

Las Vegas weather is still fairly warm during the winter months, so it’s a great time of year for people who love playing golf. Take advantage of the nice weather and play some golf at one of our many great courses, including Southern Highlands Golf Club, Rio Secco, and Desert Pines.

There are numerous schools here, ranging from public to private institutions. The Clark County School System manages most of the schools in the city, but there are some charter schools as well.

Nevada State College’s main campus is located just north of downtown Las Vegas, but they also have a campus at Cheyenne and the I-15.
