Are you looking for opportunities to kick start your studies? Then apply for the LiveLikeLyly Memorial Scholarship organized by the Against the Grain Productions. The program is designed to financially assist deserving applicants.
The Asian Pacific Islander ethnicity high school senior or college students at an accredited U.S vocational, junior or four-year college or university are eligible. The candidates must also be majoring in fashion or Graphic design to apply.
Against The Grain, Productions is a traditional nonprofit organization. It works to find unconventional, innovative and entertaining ways to promote leadership, positive identity, unity and artistry in the Asian American community

Who May Eligible?
The candidates must review the following criteria to be applicable:
- Must be of at least 25% Asian or Pacific Islander ethnicity
- Must be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the U.S.
- Must be either a high school senior or a college student currently enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. vocational, junior college, or four-year college/university
- Must be a full- time, associate/bachelor/master degree-seeking student by the upcoming academic calendar year and pursuing a major in fashion or graphic design.
- Must have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted)
- Family members of Board members are void
How to Apply
The eligible students are required to fill an online application form and provide the below-mentioned materials.
Supporting Documents
- Letters of recommendation
- An essay of 500 words describing “Why do you want to study fashion or graphic design? What does a career in this field mean to you as an Asian American?”
- A short answer of 300 words on “What does it mean to you to go Against The Grain? How do you go Against the Grain?
Benefits
The LiveLikeLyly Memorial Scholarship includes an award of $1,000. The grant is to be applied to school tuition and fees.
