Fellows can be Visual and performing artists or people returning to programs to finish degrees, completing master’s degrees, or certificate programs but not mandatory.
The Leg-Up on Life knows the hatred and the backlashes the LGBTQIA+ community faces from the society which mentally affects them and snatches the opportunities they can get. There are hardly a few programs that are dedicated to the growth and needs of LGBTQIA+ community people. The foundation wants to help these people with their needs and encourage them to achieve their career goals by helping them pay for their educational needs. These scholarships are mainly focused on arts education.
The Leg-Up on Life was Foundation in November 2017 by founder, Daniel Gold. Originally. It is an official organization dedicated to the progress of LGBTQIA+ community by mainly focusing on arts. The foundation is keen towards providing the artists with different initiatives like financial support and more, which motivates them to work harder for their dreams. The main focus of the foundation is to help the students complete their education in arts major.
