Latinas in STEM Scholarship for High School Seniors & Undergraduates

The Bold.org Platform has announced the Latinas in STEM Scholarship, funded by Angelina Kitman. The program is announced for first-generation college students and high school seniors or undergraduates. The program welcomes students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Many students, particularly female students of color, come across many difficulties in seeking higher education, which leads them to under-representation, such as in the field of STEM. Therefore, this scholarship has been created to support first-generation Latinas interested in these fields.

Females applying for this scholarship will get selected for awards based on their application. They will describe themselves and how they plan to make a positive impact on the world through a career in STEM and other selection criteria. One applicant will get selected for an award amount of $2,500. The amount will be used entirely for the recipient’s educational purposes, such as managing their tuition fees, books and other materials, transportation, room and board, and other related and required education-related expenses. Students will get motivated through this program and will be able to build their careers in STEM fields.
