The candidate can be all creative and write an inspirational essay. The most deserving candidate will be selected as the winner of the scholarship and be granted the scholarship amount of $1,000. For the last 50 years, Geri Terry, an original mother of Ketonia has been baking delicious food. In 2007 Geri decided to finally turn her life-long passion into a career and attended the Culinary Institute LeNotre. After graduating in 2009 with a degree in baking and pastry, Geri spent 9 years in commercial kitchens honing her skills as a French pastry chef. Geri, however, has not always been a follower of the Ketogenic diet. Geri did not become a Ketonian for the first 5 years of her son’s journey, but after countless hours of hearing her son lecture on the science-backed behind the ketogenic diet,  and seeing the results of the diet first hand, she decided to do the most taboo thing a french pastry chef can do-become a follower off the ketogenic diet. She brings an unrelenting desire to create foods that fit the nutritional needs of someone on the ketogenic diet without sacrificing taste or texture.
