Justice Fellowship Immigrant Justice Corps

If you are a law graduate looking forward to advancing your career, then you have an extraordinary chance. The Immigrant Justice Corps is inviting the candidate to apply for the outstanding Justice Fellowship. Applicants can be 3Ls, graduating law school by the Spring of 2021 to be eligible to apply. 2020 law school graduates, as well as 2019 law graduates, can also apply after considering the terms and conditions. Applicants must be tremendously talented, and a demonstrated commitment to providing legal services for low-income people and immigrants.

The purpose of the program is to support the deserving law graduates and to build their career by getting needed support and training. The IJC acts as a connection between the deserving candidates and non-profit legal services providers and community-based organizations who are dedicated to advancing the law field. The IJC matches fellows with their partnering hosts depending upon candidate’s interest and experience. Getting training and valuable research has made it easy for law graduates through this fellowship.

IJC is dedicated to creating a valuable law practitioner by allowing them to connect with the right organizations or firms. Founded from direct experience with the systemic failings of the broken and outdated immigration system, Immigrant Justice Corps mobilizes quality counsel to meet the needs of immigrants nationwide.  They recruit promising new lawyers and advocates from all the parts of the country to make an influential career in law by getting practical experience for two years.

Who May Be Eligible?

Candidate should follow these eligible requirements:

  • Applicants can be 3Ls, graduating law school by the Spring of 2021 to be eligible to apply. 2020 law school graduates as well as 2019 law graduates (if they will be completing another fellowship or clerkship by August of 2021) can only apply after considering the terms and conditions.
  • Applicants must be tremendously talented, and a demonstrated commitment to providing legal services for low-income people and immigrants.

How to Apply

Candidates should apply for the program through an online application. Please provide all the necessary materials and information before the deadline through an online application form. On the portal, you will need to enter email addresses for two references who will each submit a letter on your behalf; please guide your references to properly submit the letter of Recommendation through the link provided in the email. Please inform your recommenders to complete the process before the deadline.

Supporting Documents

  • Resume, law school transcript and answers to other questions should adequately answer.
  • Statement of Interest (500 words or less): It is important to explain why you want to be an IJC Justice Fellow. Five hundred words essay on IJC envisions a world where barriers to immigrant justice are removed entirely.

Nearly 25 fellows will receive an offer letter. This fellowship creates a pathway for deserving law students and encourages them to do better in their careers. The fellowship provide considerable funds and required experience, which will ultimately add value to students CV. The program introduces fellows to the respected law firms or organizations which opens the pathways for candidates towards success in the field of law.
