Distract driving has been one of the main causes of road crashes. Every year, many people get wounded and die just because they don’t follow safe driving habits. Distract driving is all about being indulged in some activities while driving. These activities may include texting, talking over call, eating, watching videos, etc. It is very dangerous to shifting our attention to other things while driving as it might light to the brutal accidents. Embracing distract driving habit is like putting not only our own life but also others at risk. When we drive, it becomes our responsibility too to keep ourselves as well as others safe. Nowadays, it has turned to be very essential to educate people on distracted driving so that they get inspired to opt for safe driving habits. To do its part in increasing awareness among people regarding this, Impact Teen Drivers has launched an amazing competition that has been receiving great love and support.
This competition invites young people to create original works showcasing their solutions or strategies to fix the very real problem of distracted driving. Students are aged 14-22 are invited to enter a 30-second PSA into the individual category and win up to $5,000 in the form of an educational grant. Apart from this, there are other categories in which teachers and advisors can participate with their students and win amazing perks. Teachers will get to win up to $10,000 for their classroom/school. Applications for this program are open from January 5 until October 31, 2021. So express your thoughts and let the world know what you think about distracted driving and what kind of solutions you think can work. Your 30-second video can bring a difference to society and motivates others on the same. Go ahead!
