This scholarship is eligible for high school senior females with exceptional volunteer experience, planning on attending a four-year accredited college or university, which enables their successful execution of a college or professional degree.
The Junior League of Racine understands the student’s burden and wants to take a step that can support the students with their financial needs. The Junior League of Racine was established in New York in 1901 as the Junior League of the Settlement Movement. The league’s founders, Mary Harriman and Nathalie Henderson, were stimulated by a sense of social responsibility and the idea of instructing women volunteers working for community improvement. The Junior League is an educational women’s volunteer organization to improve communities and civil society’s social and political fabric.
