Teen Health Connection is bringing an excellent scholarship opportunity to support the deserving candidates in completing their further studies. Teen Health Connection is inviting applicants to apply for the Johnston Ziegler Youth Leadership Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship is merit-based and open to all high school seniors in Mecklenburg or surrounding counties. Applicants should exemplify leadership, advocacy, and service explicitly pertaining to service with adolescents.
The program has been designed to promote the incredible done Dr. John Gardner Johnston and Barbara Ziegler through the young generation. This scholarship provides some financial support to the deserving students and makes it possible for them to complete their education without any financial worries. It motivates students to work hard and achieve their goals overcoming all the struggles. It spreads the message of kindness and encourages each student to make most of their education and contribute towards the development of their county, state, and nation.
Dr. John Gardner Johnston, Teen Health Connection’s founding Medical Director, and Charlotte pediatrician are known for his efforts to empower every adolescent to be healthy, safe, and prosperous. Throughout his career, Dr. Johnston has dedicated his time to improving the lives of his patients and to community child advocacy. Barbara Ziegler demonstrated outstanding commitment and capability in her efforts to improve adolescent health as the Founding Executive Director for Teen Health Connection. Barbara advocated for adolescents through position statements and conversations with local, state, and national politicians and her service on various local and state committees and boards.

Benefits
The selected recipient of the Johnston Ziegler Youth Leadership Scholarship will receive a $2500 educational scholarship to the university of his or her choice. Recipients will also be filmed for an award video. This scholarship motivates the students to do better in their academics and benefit the nation with their higher education. It supports the candidates with sufficient funds and reduces the financial pressure.
