Johnson & Johnson is now accepting applications for the Johnson & Johnson Africa Innovation Challenge to drive entrepreneurship and help advance promising healthcare solutions. The competition is open to any and all citizens or permanent residents of a country in Africa, aged 18 years or older.
Chosen applicants will receive funding up to the US $50,000 and technical mentoring from some of the brightest minds at Johnson & Johnson to help bring their idea to life and create meaningful change in their community or country.
To that end, Johnson & Johnson supports the Champions of Science Africa Innovation Challenge, to encourage entrepreneurial thinking in Africa and the creation of healthcare solutions that address the critical unmet needs of the continent and her people.

Who May Eligible:
To eligible, the candidates must be following all the eligibility criteria:
- Any and all citizens or permanent residents of a country in Africa, aged 18 years or older.
- Who may have an innovative solution and detailed project plan, are welcome to apply.
- You could be a student at a university or an engineer in the field.
- Early-stage startups or projects that have currently raised less than the equivalent of US $100,000 (for example equity funding, public funding and/or grants) can also apply.
- To qualify, each Applicant must submit an innovative idea in at least one of the following categories:
- Botanical Solutions
- Packaging Innovations
- Mental Health
- Essential Surgical Care
- Digital Health Tools
- Health Worker Support
