Softball is a fantastic sport that has positively impacted many peopleโs lives. Youth softball can do miracles for both the brains and bodies of its athletes. Sports provide significant advantages to children of all ages. Softball and other team sports allow being energetic while learning life values that will remain with a person as they traverse high school, college, their first job, and their first raise.
Playing team sports benefits childrenโs academic performance, mood, and sleep. And that is before you consider the physical fitness requirements of the sport. To encourage studentโs participation in softball, Babe Ruth League, Inc. has launched a brilliant Jaime Horn Memorial Softball Scholarship for a second-semester freshman college student who played Babe Ruth Softball at one time. The programโs goal is to help Babe Ruth Softball players accomplish their goals. Softball scholarship recipients will receive up to $1,000 in funding.
The late Babe Ruth Softball National Commissioner, Jaime Lynn Horn, adored the program she oversaw. She saw the softball field as an extension of the classroom, and she thought that the principles acquired via involvement in the sport might have a huge influence on student-athletes as they prepare to become tomorrowโs leaders. Jaimeโs family, acquaintances, and the Babe Ruth Leagues she served founded the Jaime Horn Memorial Softball Scholarship to honor her life and help Babe Ruth Softball participants accomplish their goals. Babe Ruth League, Inc., a non-profit educational organization named after one of baseballโs greatest players of all time, George Herman โBabeโ Ruth, has come a long way since its humble beginnings over 60 years ago.
Babe Ruth Softball was added to the Babe Ruth League, Inc.โs schedule in 1984. Babe Ruth League, Inc. saw the need for a high-quality national softball program and created the program. The softball program was created to focus on young female players of all skill levels, giving them the same engaging sports experience as the baseball divisions. Above everything else, the Babe Ruth League, Inc. activities are of, by, and for youth. It aims to produce better citizens by properly supervising competitive baseball and softball, including fostering mental and physical growth. The primary consideration is setting standards, enacting regulations, and all planning best for the participants.
