International Foundation for Research in Paraplegia (IRP) is delighted to announce the IRP Research Grant. Clinicians and scientists working in paraplegia and related fields who are seeking financial support for their work must submit an application.
The IRP foundations have the exclusive aim to promote basic and clinical research related to spinal cord injury. Research projects may address all aspects of CNS and spinal cord lesions, nerve regeneration, trophic support of lesioned neurons, and functional changes induced by lesions, preferentially in mammals.
Their goal is to favor quality and excellence to retain only the very best proposals, as much for the degree of scientific interest proposed, as for the quality of the program of implementation.

Who May Eligible:
Clinicians and scientists work in paraplegia and related fields who are seeking financial support for their work must submit an application using the form link below before 31 October and must meet the conditions defined by IRP.
How to Apply & Competitions Rules:
To participate, the applicants must submit an online application form through the given link: https://www.irp.ch/web/form/research/applicant.php
Rules:
- IRP finances research projects regardless of the nationality of the researcher and the place of work
- Projects submitted for consideration must be focused on basic or clinical research into paraplegia or related fields
- Proposals are evaluated by the IRP Scientific Committee by end February of the following year.
- Complete all fields regarding personal data, then send the above form duly completed, together with your CV, a list of your published work over the last 5 years (no abstracts), and a list of the publications of those applying with you.
- Send your documents in Word or pdf format.
Benefits:
- Each proposal retained will be financed for 1 or 2 years, to the value CHF 75’000.- or CHF 150’000.- respectively;
- The grant doesn’t cover additional overhead costs.
