The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) in Tennessee has announced their yearly scholarship as Ircel Harrison Theological Scholarship for the students who are currently enrolled in an Anti-Terrorism Squad approved masters or doctoral program that is not supplemented by the Cooperative Program of the SBC, members of CBF affiliated congregation or demonstrate support to state and/or national CBF programs, ministers, or missions and those who have Tennessee connections through birth, residence, or college education. The students who fall under these categories are welcomed for this program.
The scholarship will provide an opportunity to the selected applicant, who will be judged based on their application and materials provided with it. Among all the applications, one application will get selected for awards and receive an award amount of $1,000. The amount will be used for the student’s education-related expenses such as tuition assistance, books, and other materials. This will help students pursue their education and achieve their goals also; they will be able to manage their educational requirements.
The CBF Tennessee was founded in 1991 and is a network of Christians and churches who share a passion for the great commission of Jesus Christ and historic Baptist principles of faith. They are working on a mission to resource churches and individuals to discover and fulfill their God-given mission.

Who is Eligible?
Applicant must:
- Have Tennessee connections through birth, residence, or college education
- Be a member of a CBF affiliated congregation or demonstrate support to state and/or national CBF programs, ministries, or missions
- Be currently enrolled in an ATS-approved master or doctoral program that is not supplemented by the cooperative Program of the SBC

The applicants who are eligible for this scholarship program should enclose a resume and cover letter both must not be more than two pages which include their biographical information, their call to faith in Christ, their sense of vocational calling, their core Baptist beliefs, and their relationship to CBF and should also attach reference letter one ministerial and two additional from either a professor, ministry leader, former employer, or supervisor of volunteer work and the letters should address Christian commitment, the potential for local church leadership, emotional and spiritual maturity, and interpersonal relationship skills. Benefits
The students applying for this program will be judged and selected based on their application, and preference will be given to the students studying for a master level degree in theological education and also those who have not received the scholarship more than twice. The selected applicant will receive a scholarship amount of $1000; the award will be provided to at least one scholar; as this depends on the fund placed with the endowment fund, additional scholarships will be given, or the amount of scholarship will be increased. The amount will be used for the student’s educational purposes, such as their tuition assistance, books, and other related materials and other related expenses. This program will empower students to pursue education without worrying more about their finances, eventually leading them to achieve their goals and succeed.
Application Deadline
The eligible and interested applicants should fill out their form and submit it in one of the ways mentioned above before the deadline of March 15, 2022. The entries received after this date will be denied and considered ineligible for the program.
