To enable students to pursue their dream education and meet their career goals despite facing severe financial drawbacks, the International Festivals & Events Association Foundation has established the Nick Corda Memorial Scholarships for the academic year 2022-2023.
The Nick Corda Memorial Scholarship is one of twenty scholarships made possible by the generosity of many industry donors through the IFEA Foundation. The scholarship is offered to US national citizens who wish to utilize this scholarship award within the domestic boundary of the country. This scholarship will cover the registration fees and will solely be awarded to candidates that cannot manage without the scholarship assistance.
International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA World), founded in 1956 as the Festival Manager’s Association, is the Premier Association Supporting and Enabling Festival & Event Professionals Worldwide. IFEA’s primary focus is identifying and providing access to the professional resources and networks that will inspire and enable those in the industry to realize their dreams, build community and sustain success through celebration. Who is Eligible?
- The applicants must be in a position where they cannot be in a financial position to attend without scholarship assistance.
- That they meet the targeted criteria as deserving young/new professionals currently completing their education or with less than three years in the industry.
- The applicants must meet the criteria outlined for the specific scholarship.
- The applicants must have an impressive statement of benefit to themselves and/or their organizations and communities as the result of attending the convention as it will be the basis of selection.
How to Apply?
- The applicants are first required to must demonstrate and document the following:
- That they meet the targeted criteria as deserving young/new professionals currently completing their education or with less than three years in the industry.
- That they have not attended an IFEA Annual Convention & Expo within the last three (3) years. Note: This condition is waived for full-time students.
- That they could not otherwise, through any other means, afford to pay the complete registration fee.
- That they and/or their organization are a current member, in good standing, of the IFEA.
- The scholarship applicants must make sure that they answer all applicable questions on the application and also remember to write N/A where something is non-applicable and include direct contact information as requested.
- The completed scholarship application must be submitted via mail to kaye@ifea.com to be considered for the scholarship award.

This funding opportunity has been established to provide the selected candidates with full registration costs, (travel and lodging are not included).
