The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Control System Society, is conducting a video contest for everyone from within and from outside the controls community. All the high school students, undergraduates, and graduate students of all majors are welcomed for this contest. Also, industry and academic researchers and engineers from all over the world are invited to take part. The contest is based on a video clip that will be subject to control theory or automatic control. Participants need to focus on a particular topic or in the field in general also; they are expected to have enough potential within them to promote the field.Â
The video clip will be assessed by a prestigious IEEE CSS jury, who will select the finalists. The last word will be provided to IEEE CSS Day participants, who will be invited to vote for the winning video clip online. All videos are handled equally and evaluated based on their quality, innovation, and ability to advance the profession. The top videos will get a cash prize of $1000 for first place, $500 for second place, and $250 for third place. The prizes will encourage participants to bring out their best and present it on the field.
The Control Systems Society is dedicated to the promotion of system and control theory and practice. Since its inception in 1954, the IEEE CSS has been at the forefront of control systems theory and technology. Its mission is to promote worldwide scientific, technological, and educational achievements in the disciplines of automatic control, decision making, theory, and applications. Aerospace systems, automotive systems, communication networks, cyber-physical systems, manufacturing, micro/nanosystems, power grids, process control, robots, smart communities, and systems and synthetic biology are just a few examples.
