Oregon Nurses Association members have an excellent opportunity to complete their higher education. As always Oregon Nurses Association is always ready to support its members with every possible effort. The Oregon Nurses Association is inviting applicants to apply for its Huggins and Haggland Grant for Continuing Education. The Huggins and Haggland Grant for Continuing Education allow Oregon Nurses Association members the opportunity to advance their career in the field of nursing by networking and gaining valuable knowledge through attendance and participation in continuing education conferences, workshops, advanced training, and online programs.
This grant is exclusively designed to support the association members in completing their education without any worries. The purpose of the association is to expand the fields of nursing with passionate professionals. The program is easy to access and reduces the students’ financial burden of completing their higher education. It motivates the candidates to do better in their careers and maintain good academic records. The association is making a great initiative with the help of such programs.
The goal of the Oregon Nurses Foundation is to expand scholarships (both in number and in the amount given) to $100,000 in direct funding to nursing students and those pursuing advanced nursing degrees per year. Established in 1982, the Oregon Nurses Foundation is a tax-exempt, charitable 501(c)(3) organization. The Foundation seeks to advance the profession of nursing in Oregon by raising funds to support three key areas of focus. As part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to advance the profession of nursing in Oregon, the Board and staff have re-evaluated the Foundation’s programs and have crafted a new direction which they believe will help transform the profession of nursing in the coming years.

Application for continuing education reimbursement is made by completing the Huggins and Haggland Grant for Continuing Education (HHCE) Request Form. Benefits
Each applicant may be eligible for a continuing education grant of up to $500 every two (2) years for registration fees, travel, and/or accommodations to qualifying conferences, workshops, or training. Five (5) grants for a total of up to $2500 are available beginning July 1 of each year and ending June 30 of the next year. Each applicant may be eligible for a grant for the costs of continuing online education up to $150 every year. A total of $1500 is available on an annual basis for online continuing education awards, beginning July 1 and ending June 30.
