Honeywell Women in Engineering Scholarships for Juniors & Seniors

The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation has announced a scholarship program for women who are entering or studying in junior and senior college and who are participating in a Society of Women Engineers Collegiate Section Community College Students who are moving to a four-year ABET-accredited college or university for engineering can apply. Students interested in pursuing a degree in electrical, computer, mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering are welcomed in this scholarship program.

The applicants selected for this scholarship program will be awarded an amount worth $5,000. For this scholarship program, two scholars will be selected, and the total award that will be distributed is $10,000. This scholarship will help students at a greater level to manage their related educational fees in the form of tuition fees, books, room, and others. This will lessen their concern more than half to seek higher studies and grab their goals.

The foundation was established in the year 1978. The motive they are carrying is to build a vast, wide-ranged, and charitable foundation capable of fulfilling and serving the need of metropolitan Kansas City.

Who is Eligible?

  • Women who are entering their college junior or senior year
  • Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or industrial engineering
  • Participating in the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Collegiate Section

How to Apply?

The applicants who are eligible and interested in applying can submit their applications online through the official online portal. Students must click on the scholarship or search on the search bar; after choosing Honeywell Women in Engineering scholarship, they must create an account to access the scholarship program. After successfully creating an account, Students must fill up all the details. Applicants may get asked supplemental questions such as which programs they plan to pursue, are they members of the Society of Women Engineers (collegiate membership), what they hope to do with their career, so all these questions must be answered properly and by heart. With the application, students must upload a letter of recommendation from a school educator, and lastly, they must acknowledge that they must engage monthly with their assigned Honeywell Mentor. So, after completing all the required processes, applicants can submit their forms.
