Home Depot Foundation’s Path to Pro Scholarship

The Home Depot Foundation is taking the initiative to grow its $50 million trades training commitment by introducing a Pro Scholarship Program to prepare the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

The following scholarship program will concede $2,000 in monetary help to high school seniors and graduates entering or currently enrolled in a trade-related program. Scholarships will be granted by The Home Depot Foundation’s charitable accomplice, SkillPointe Foundation.

The ultimate purpose of offering this scholarship program is to compensate for the growing labor shortage in the construction industry. The Path to Pro scholarship program is deliberately intended to eliminate the monetary load for students entering the skilled trades.

The Home Depot Foundation attempts to improvise the homes and lives of U.S. veterans, train skilled tradespeople to stop the growing labor shortage, and provide support to communities who are affected by natural disasters. Since 2011, the Foundation has put more than $375 million in veteran causes and worked on more than 50,000 veteran homes and offices. The Foundation has vowed to put half of a billion dollars in veteran causes by 2025 and $50 million in training skilled tradespeople through the Path to Pro program.
