Who May Be Eligible

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

  • The fellow must be a citizen and resident of the state of Texas.
  • Applicant must currently be a senior in good standing at Griffin, Spalding, or Pike High School who has been accepted at higher learning institutions. Proof of enrollment will be required to receive scholarship funds.
  • Students must have participated in community arts activities sponsored by a GAAA member organization or his/her high school within the past 12 months. Current GAAA members are Camelot Theatre Company, Griffin Area Concert Association, Griffin Choral Arts, Griffin Ballet Theatre, Griffin-Spalding Art Association, and Main Street Players.
  • The fellow must have received a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 with minimum grades of 3.0 in courses of artistic expression.

How to Apply 

Applicant must submit Complete applications with all supporting documents hand-delivered to the Griffin-Spalding Chamber of Commerce at 143 N. Hill Street, Griffin. Any late or incomplete submissions done will not be accepted to award scholarship. Students should make sure the information submitted is valid.

  • Candidate must submit High school transcript
  • Fellows must submit an Academic recommendation letter in a sealed envelope
  • Applicant must submit Arts recommendation letter in a sealed envelope
