STEM has always been a men-dominated area that has given many leaders to our country. But today’s women are doing great in this field like their counterparts. Nowadays, women are considering such challenging fields to study and build a career in. Moreover, they have been making accomplishments and giving fair competition to their counterparts. Having women in this area can open the doors for upcoming female tech lovers and make it easier for them to pursue a career in this field without discrimination. Keeping this in mind, Greater Ohio Valley WID has sponsored this scheme encouraging female to come forward and show their talent in the tech field and break all the stereotypes.
Greater Ohio Valley Chapter of Women In Defense came into existence in 2013, and officers and directors were appointed at the Chapter’s inaugural meeting on August 15, 2013. It carries a prominent defence footprint and strong ties to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Greater Ohio Valley Chapter of Women In Defense is the result of the consistent effort of Local government and industry women who worked together to establish it so that the support could be provided to women in all aspects of national security.
