What would you do if you were an owner of a leading virtual construction company? What would your strategies be to grow your business, and how would you handle your work? Apply for this exciting “Global Student Challenge” and find out answers to these questions by yourself. This is an annual challenge that is run by the Chartered Institute of Building. As part of this program, candidates will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to the real situation running their own virtual construction company, and enhance their skills and cultivate new ones. All students from around the world can send their entry to compete in this challenge.
Through this program, the Chartered Institute of Building wants to provide students with a platform where they can put what they have learned in the classroom into use. In this competition, you will compete in a team of four and will be tasked with managing your own virtual construction company. You will be challenged and have to organize your team and work. Moreover, you will have to distribute roles equally to your team members. These roles might include a financial manager, overheads manager, construction manager and estimating manager, each with their responsibilities. Ultimately, it is a learning opportunity for you, and as part of this program, you can develop new skills and knowledge that will be with you throughout your life.

It was founded in 1834 by Thomas Cubitt and William Cubitt with the headquarters in Bracknell, United Kingdom. Member of this organization could use the designation MCIOB (Member) FCIOB (Fellow).
