Girls for Gaming Scholarship for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Foundation announced the Girls for Gaming Scholarship to discuss their impact in helping empower and educate females who play various roles within the gaming industry with the purpose of driving and normalizing gender diversity within gaming. Additionally, the applicants must be pursuing or about to pursue a degree in the business of game development, including and not limited to public relations, marketing, law, business management, and human resources. Eligible individuals must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending an accredited college or university during the 2021-2022 academic school year. Also, early professionals in the gaming industry can also participate in the competition.

Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students who have shown outstanding academic achievements. These prestigious awards are cash prizes given to either the students or their college or university. Sometimes, these scholarships are given to students of a particular gender, race, ethnicity, and working professionals. To pay for their education, students sometimes opt for part-time jobs and have to divide their time & effort between studies and work. This way, they are unable to perform at their full potential. So, scholarships are indirectly helping students focus solely on education to receive their degree, diploma, or certification.

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Foundation’s, also known as the AIAS Foundation, mission is to advance an inclusive worldwide interactive entertainment creative and business community through collaboration, education, and professional development. Their vision is to envision growth in the gaming community as space for all individuals to learn, work and thrive through the interactive arts. The AIAS Foundation has sponsored hundreds of mentees and scholars and hosted educational summits. They have launched the first game industry 5k race and built a growing database of mentors ready to help future generations of industry leaders. Based in California, this foundation is a well-known charitable organization. They organize the Design Innovate Communicate Entertain summit, commonly known as DICE, for the presentation of awards.
