GI Clinical Track Fellowship

The Medical University of South Carolina is announcing an amazing GI Clinical Track Fellowship program for the graduating students of MUSC in the major of gastroenterology. The fellowship program is specially initiated to provide excellent clinical training in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology.

Fellows will receive subspecialty certification in Gastroenterology as outlined by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In the final year of this program, deserving fellows get the opportunity to offer specialized training in a specific niche to allow each fellow to choose their career paths. The fellowship program aims to serve the most balanced and comprehensive training to prepare graduating fellows for the ultimate success in their respective career paths

The Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Medical is leading in all areas of patient care, medical education, and biomedical research. It is the oldest and largest academic medical center in South Carolina serving group of more than 740 medical students, 780 trainees in residency and programs, and the patents in the state and country.

Who May Be Eligible?

Before applying for the fellowship, students must consider the below-given requirement criteria.

  • Students graduating in the fields of Gastroenterology and hepatology are welcome to apply for this program

Only the eligible candidates should apply for the grant through an ERAS Electronic application form. After applying, candidates may get the interview call. Candidates should submit all the required details and the documents through the online application form. All the applications should be submitted before the deadline.

Benefits

Four candidates will be selected for subspecialty certification in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In these three years, training fellows will have a wide range of exposure to patients, in the last year candidates will get the opportunity to offer training in a specific niche to create their career in that field. The curriculum is structured to offer inpatient and outpatient training in all aspects of gastroenterology like hepatology, biliary-pancreatic consult, general luminal GI, esophageal motility diseases, and inflammatory bowel disease.
