The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture aspires to provide students the best chance of succeeding in agriculture-related fields of study. Students can apply for a variety of scholarships, each with its own set of criteria and qualifying requirements. Scholarship applications for the year 2022 are now being welcomed. The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture Scholarship for Agricultural is designed to help excellent high school students who want to pursue a career in agriculture and have demonstrated leadership qualities in the agriculture industry. The Foundation will offer ten $3,000 scholarships. An extra $1,000 incentive will be awarded to the top three candidates. The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture Technical College Scholarship for Agriculture is designed to help excellent students who want to continue a career in agriculture after graduating from a technical school or program. The Foundation will offer four $1,500 scholarships.
The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture Rising College Junior/Senior Agriculture Scholarship is designed to help excellent students pursuing an academic career in agriculture and have demonstrated leadership abilities for active participation in the agriculture industry while in college. The Foundation will offer eight $2,000 scholarships. The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture UGA College of Veterinary Medicine Scholarship is designed to help excellent students who specialize in big animal/food animal practice. The Foundation will give two $5,000 scholarships. All the scholarship application ends on March 1, 2022.
The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture is dedicated to safeguarding Georgia’s agricultural future by addressing this rising issue. The group is creating a pipeline for the next generation of farmers and agricultural leaders. Our programs provide a structured path that supports growth and stimulates interest in agriculture across a student’s educational journey through early exposure, classroom learning, higher education, farm-based mentorship, and professional learning.

Who is Eligible?
The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture Scholarship for Agricultural applicants must: be a Georgia resident; be majoring in agriculture and environmental sciences, family and consumer sciences, or a related agriculture field; have completed high school within the year in which they are applying for the scholarship; have participated in leadership activities in high school; be planning to enroll in a unit of The University System of Georgia, Berry College, or Emmanuel College, OR any accredited institution; be a Georgia resident; be majoring in agriculture and environmental sciences, family and consumer.
A Georgia resident must apply for the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture Technical College Scholarship for Agriculture. Applicants must be majoring in agriculture or a field of study related to agriculture, be enrolled or planning to enroll in a Georgia accredited technical college during the 2022-2023 academic year, and have a minimum 2.8 GPA.
Students submitting an application for the Georgia Foundation for Agricultural Rising College Junior/Senior Scholarship must be Georgia residents studying agriculture and environmental sciences, family and consumer sciences, or a related agriculture subject. They must be a sophomore or junior with at least two semesters of college work remaining to acquire an undergraduate degree from a unit of The University System of Georgia, Berry Institution, or Emmanuel College, OR an approved Georgia college or university having an agriculture department. Applicants must be involved in college leadership activities and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture is a non-profit organization dedicated to Students applying for the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine Scholarship must be Georgia residents and current Veterinary Medicine students majoring in big animal/food animal practice with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
How to Apply ?
Please provide your name, contact telephone number, email address, and postal address along with your application mail. Include the name of the institution or university you are now attending or will be attending after high school, as well as the financial aid office’s postal address.
- Essay outlining your future plans as they relate to agriculture and how you think you can impact the future of the agriculture industry. The essay should be at least one page, but not more than twoPages, double spaced, Times New Roman or Arial font.
- Letter of Recommendation Form
- Copy of transcript
- Professional photo of the applicant
The winner will be chosen and will receive a $1,000 scholarship. The funds will be sent directly to the institution where the winning candidate is or attending through cheque.
The application deadline ends on March 1, 2022, and the last submission of the application is not acceptable.
