Graduate Employee Organization has brought an amazing program called “GEO-UAW Local 2322 30th Anniversary Design Contest”. This year, Graduate Employee Organization is celebrating its 30th anniversary. To mark this day, it has created this amazing competition that requires contestants to design a T-shirt for GEO’s 30th anniversary. Lucky candidates will get to win a gift card to Amherst Books and a chance to get their designs featured on t-shirts. Applicants are free to submit their entry from September 15 until October 6, 2021. If you get an appreciation for your good designing skills and feel that you can do better in the designing field, then this could be the right step for you to launch your career.
For this competition, the committee will select three designs as finalists. The winners will be announced at its October membership meeting. GEO members are welcome to submit as many entries as they like. You can send .jpg images that are 3000 x 3000 to geo@umass.edu to become a participant in this program. This contest will grant you an opportunity to test your designing skills, obtain new ones and improve yourself. These benefits will be with you for a long time, unlike any gift and money. Having experience participating in such a contest on your resume will give you an advantage in your career and keep you ahead of others.
Graduate Employee Organization has been working as a union for graduate employees at UMass Amherst, and is proud to be a unit of United Auto Workers Local 2322! It is known for representing teaching assistants, teaching associates, research assistants, project assistants, assistant residence directors, graduate interns, fellows, and trainees.
