The Glendale Community College is honoured to announce that they are accepting applications for their GCC Emergency award program. The following award program is intended to help students confronting a monetary crisis or difficulty that might hinder scholarly advancement in an understudy’s schooling at Glendale Community College. The grant will be given by two sources: The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II), as approved by the Coronavirus pandemic and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA), Public Law 116-260, endorsed into law on December 27, 2020; and the 2021 California Immediate Action Budget Package (California Senate Bill 85) Emergency Financial Assistance. Students who got an Emergency Grant in past semesters are also qualified to get an extra Emergency Grant during the current semester.
The primary goal behind starting this scholarship is to help students who had to deal with monetary crises due to the adverse impacts of covid-pandemic. The Glendale Community College is providing sufficient funds to the students to continue with their education. The Emergency grant is available for all students attending Glendale Community colleges and enrolled at either the Garfield or Verdugo campus for the Fall 2021 semester. The non-Credit students should have 40+ hours of positive attendance to be eligible to receive the grant. The following gran is not a loan, and therefore, the candidates are not required to repay the amount. The deadline for application submission is November 28, 2021.
