The Object of the Rotary is to motivate and cherish the ideal of service as a basis of desirable enterprise and, in peculiar, to hearten and foster: 1st The development of association as an opportunity for service, 2nd High standards in business and line of work, the perception of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the glorifying of each Rotarian’s career as a chance to serve society, 3rd The application of service in each Rotarians personal, and community life,​ 4th The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and calmness through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
