Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the FSE Scholarship, aspiring applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Major in Political Science/Public Administration/Business Administration or Journalism/Mass Communication.
  2. Be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Reside in Florida for two years preceding the academic year of application.
  4. Enroll or be accepted as a full-time junior in a Florida senior college or university.
  5. Submit two letters of recommendation and a resume showcasing academic and community activities.
  6. Demonstrate financial need and provide a financial statement.
  7. Maintain a “C” average or above for the previous school year.
  8. Be a registered voter in the county where the application is submitted.
  9. Be available for an interview with the Supervisor of Elections.

Scholarship Details

The FSE Scholarship awards three deserving students $1,200 each. The scholarship check is made payable to the student’s attending school and must be used for educational expenses.
