A previous equity director of the Roseville school region ordered on Thursday to take $6,500 from the district in 2018.
Leona Robinson-Derden, 57, who, as per the objection, presently lives in Alpharetta, Ga., was charged in September in Ramsey County District Court with two counts of introducing a bogus case as a public official trying to steal public funds.
She pleaded guilty for count one but counted two was dismissed under the request arrangement. Her condemnation is to be held on February 2. She is expected to be asked to pay compensation of $3,500 to the school region, as indicated by the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office.
Derden was employed by Independent School District 623 on July 1, 2017. She was employed to be the supervisor of equity and elementary training.

On April 18, 2019, the educational committee informed Derdenabout the monetary disparities found during an examination led by an external law office. They also illuminated that she might be terminated at the following meeting. Derden decided to leave.
As per data uncovered through the school’s request and resulting police examination, Derden introduced two solicitations for payments for services that didn’t happen.
