The Fallen Heroes Scholarship Fund (Fallen Heroes) was set up by John and Delinda Statts in the memory of Mr. Statts’s guardians, Captain Frederick Statts, and his spouse Sara. Captain Statts completed his graduation from the CG Academy in 1936 and presented with unique excellence for quite some time. He resigned as Commanding Officer of the Training Center in Cape May, New Jersey. This grant started with the motive to benefit dependent offspring of CG individuals (joined up and authorized officials) who lost their life in CG land, air, or ocean activities. A qualified candidate might apply for this grant any time during the year.
As for eligibility, any unmarried dependent children of joined-up and appointed people of the U.S. Coast Guard that lost their lives in Coast Guard land, air, or ocean activities are eligible to apply. Understudies applying to college or at present attending college or university might apply if seeking after their first college degree program, are recorded in the CG DEERS framework, and are younger than 24 while applying. Candidates should be a secondary school senior entering a certified college or specialized school for the fall semester of this current year, or a full-time undergrad understudy who already enrolled at an authorized undergrad program or specialized school for the fall semester of this current year.
The Coast Guard Foundation is focused on guaranteeing all Coast Guard individuals and families have the resources they need to fabricate strength for the duration of their lives. Established in 1969, they were an essential partner to the Coast Guard, handling the hardest difficulties going up against their heroes.
