Era L and Frances L Walker Scholarship for African-American Male Students

Community of Illinois Foundation is glad to announce that they are accepting applications for the Era L. also, Frances L. Walker Scholarship to give instructive funds to African-American guys to seek advanced education. Era Louis Walker Jr. was brought into the world in Inverness, Mississippi, on November 29, 1928, to Era Sr. furthermore, Isola Walker. The Era was a member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church in Rockford beginning around 1943. He went through 5 years chipping in for Collins and Stone Funeral Home, giving his time and skills openly while helping others by consoling friends and family during their most obscure hours. The era was a perfect human being and a caring person not only to his family and friends but to everyone.

To enter the following scholarship, the candidate must be an African-American male; be a graduating senior from a Rockford Public Schools secondary school; have a GPA of at minimum 2.9/4.0; have been associated with community service and volunteerism like Era; and share Walker’s qualities including the significance of family, service to one’s community, and the humane treatment of others.
