The Ebell of Los Angeles has announced their scholarship program for undergraduate students in any significant attending private or public non-profit colleges or universities in Los Angeles Country. The applicant must be in financial need with having cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and must be a permanent resident in Los Angeles. All the students can apply for this program, including males and females. Scholarships can be continued for the three graduation years.
The applicants will be selected for awards on the basis of their financial needs, academic achievement, and community service/leadership. Selected applicants will be eligible for awards. Students who attend a community college will receive $3000 per year, and students who attend a four-year university will receive $5000 per year. The amount will help students to manage their education-related expenses such as tuition fees, books, transportation, and other fees and supplies. Students can renew their scholarships every year while they are pursuing their degrees. This will encourage students who come from low-income backgrounds to focus on their studies and achieve a degree.
The Ebell of Los Angeles was founded in the year 1894 by a group of women and is a non-profit organization. Their mission is to participate in and encourage the educational, cultural, and social growth of the diverse Los Angeles community and to conserve and protect our historic Clubhouse, collections, and Wilshire Ebell Theatre. The organization’s philanthropic endeavors include awarding scholarships to students and also hosting social and cultural events that inspire and empower.

Who is Eligible?
- United States citizenship or permanent resident status
- Permanent residency in Los Angeles Country
- Full time undergraduate status at the time of application
- Attendance at a non-profit, ACCJC or WASC accredited 2 or 4 year college or university within Los Angeles Country
- Sophomore, junior or senior post-secondary status in the fall of 2022
- A cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
- Financial need

The applicants who are eligible for this program should fill the application form with all the required documents in each field, they must add an application essay where they should write about their achievements, talent, financial need, their life challenges, etc. This will help the evaluator to consider the awards. With this, applicants must attach a transcript or their school can send directly to The Ebell, 3 letters of recommendation, and the reports of (SAR) and (FAFSA) if available.
