DMTD Student Video Contest

Special Districts are arranging a creative Student Video Contest for the year 2020. The program is open for all the high school and college students from all over the globe to create an inspiring video highlighting the topic ‘Make the Difference’.

The awards will be granted to the scholars who best describe the relevant topic and the top five finalists’ videos will also be displayed on the Districts Make the Difference website. The funds will be significant enough to pay for any of the educational expenses.

California’s Special Districts work to provide vital services like water and energy, fire protection and public safety, treatment of wastewater, and garbage removal. They are focused on improving the execution of these specialized services by creating alternative fuels, developing water conservation technologies, fostering solutions for the conservation of natural resources.

Who May Eligible?

To eligible for the Video Contest, the candidates must review the eligibility rules:

  • Open to all High school and college students from around the world

How to Apply

Interested students can enter the contest by applying online through a scholarship form provided on the bottom of the official website. Applicants must also send completed applications and a DropBox link for your video to info@districtsmakethedifference.org.

Supporting Documents

  • Must create a fun and informative short video (under 90 seconds) highlighting the ways special districts ‘Make the Difference’ in California

Benefits

The talented winners of the video competition will receive the cash prizes as mentioned below:

  • $2,000 for the first-place winner
  • $1,000 for the second-place winner
  • $500 for third-place winner

The application deadline is September 30, 2020, at 5:00 p.m to submit your video.
