The Diversity in Hospitality Scholarship is a result of the partnership between NEWH and HDAC aims to encourage diversity, equity, and inclusion in and access to the hospitality industry by supporting students who identify with underrepresented and minority groups interested in careers in the industry. The application is open to both domestic and international candidates. All the students who are enrolled in a two-year, four-year or graduate program with a minimum of 3.0 GPA are eligible for the scholarship. The applicants’ major and career objectives should be in hospitality and related field. For applying, the candidate needs to submit an official transcript, an essay, a short biography, two letters of recommendation, and a photograph. The last date to file your application is June 1, 2021.
The winning recipient will be awarded at an NEWH breakfast at HD Expo + Conference, sponsored by Hospitality Design Magazine. This is an excellent opportunity for the winner. Who May Be Eligible
To be eligible for the scholarship, the candidate must satisfy the following criteria:
- Can be domestic/ international.
- Actively enrolled student; 2-year program freshman and above; 4-year program sophomore/second year and above, or graduate level attending college.
- Must have a 3.0 overall GPA, B average or grade percentage of 835-86%.
- Major and Career in a hospitality-related field
