In a commitment to empower local students and foster educational excellence, the Daviess County Community Foundation and Knox County Community Foundation are pleased to announce the opening of applications for their Community Scholarship Program. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to deserving individuals, ensuring that the pursuit of higher education remains within reach for the talented youth of the community.
The Community Foundation Alliance has nine county affiliates, including the Daviess County Community Foundation, which was founded in 1993. With charity assets over $17.1 million, the Daviess County Community Foundation manages more than 160 endowments funds created by individuals, families, corporations, civic organizations, and agencies with the goal of enhancing the quality of life in Daviess County, Indiana. In our latest fiscal year, grants totaling over $1.07 million and scholarships valued at $337,000 were given to individuals, projects, and programs. The National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations® (National Standards) program has accredited the Community Foundation Alliance as a 501(c)(3) organization, demonstrating its operational success in promoting excellence in community philanthropy.
