Since the pandemic hit us, all the kids have been locked up at their homes attending online classes. It has been a lot of pressure on the kids because they are not getting to enjoy school and other activities that lead to their growth and mind development. Parents are worried for their kids because they are turning lazy and not being serious about their studies and hence we totally understand the concern of parents. This is why Community Food Bank of Southern America has got an amazing and fun activity for the kids to take part in. They believe that there are some situations where our children teach us something new we don’t know of. They sometimes teach us life lessons that we have never ever thought of. So in order to give voice to such kids, they are presenting a Kids Calendar Contest for all kids to enter and create a unique and creative artwork in the form of a calendar on topics from hunger to nutrition.
The following contest is a great opportunity for kids and parents to have conversations about food as a human right, and what kinds of food build a healthy body. The calendar made the kids will be displayed in homes across Arizona and helps raise funds to feed hungry families at the same time. Therefore, the kids will be indirectly contributing to humanity. The winner’s artwork will be printed in our 2022 calendar, and each winning artist will receive copies of the calendar. The deadline for the artwork submission is September 17, 2021.
The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona with over 43 years of experience has been responding to the root causes of hunger and seeking to restore dignity, health, opportunity, and hope to people living in poverty. Their mission is to change lives in the communities by feeding the hungry and building a healthy and hunger-free tomorrow.
