Who May Be Eligible?

- Students who have participated in the FIRST Robotics program for at least one full season in high school and who have applied and been admitted to the College of Engineering are eligible.
- The fellow should be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
How to Apply
Fellows are first required to submit their admission application to the College of Engineering before the deadlines. Candidates should ensure they submit all the supporting credentials in the form to be considered for the scholarship. The College will reject late or incomplete documents. Students FIRST team advisor needs to submit the mandatory rest materials through the official website before the deadline. Candidates should maintain the originality of all the data they provide.
- The candidate should submit a fully completed admission application.
- The recommendation form and letter of recommendation should be submitted before the deadline.
This four-year, $25,000 tuition scholarship is awarded to selected students. FIRST Scholars also receive funding to participate in a research program with a College of Engineering faculty member for up to 10 hours per week for one semester in the first two years of study. Those who maintain an overall grade point average of 3.40 are guaranteed admission to a BU College of Engineering master of science program.
