Perceiving the worth of education and the advantages it brings to the Coast Guard Family, the Coast Guard Exchange (CGX) Scholarship Program was set up to give extra monetary assistance to dependent children of the Coast Guard workforce focusing on their undergraduate college studies. Every year a $2,000 grant is granted to the exceptional candidates on a one-time premise. The number of grants conceded every year relies upon accessible subsidizing. Applications and all supporting documents for the following grant should be submitted to the CGX Scholarship Committee no later than 28 February (current year), the application cutoff time. No augmentations will be conceded.
The Program gives grants to understudies who are dependents of Coast Guard active-duty, reserve and military resigned individuals, current regular citizen NAF and APF representatives, and current Coast Guard Auxiliarists. The candidate should be a high school student and scheduled to graduate and go to school full-time during the resulting year. The individuals who have as of now graduated are not qualified to apply. Understudies should plan to go to an authorized school or college for undergraduate studies. Grants won’t be granted for support in nonacademic as well as certified or diploma programs. Understudies accepting arrangements to USAFA, USNA, USMA, USCGA, or USMMA are not qualified.
The Department of Homeland Security has a fundamental mission to protect the country from the numerous dangers it faces. This requires the commitment of more than 240,000 representatives in positions that range from aviation and boundary security to crisis response, from cybersecurity analyst to chemical facility inspector. Their obligations are comprehensive, and their objective is clear, i.e., protecting America.
