The Clickit Ticket brings to you a Clicket Ticket’s Annual Scholarship Program for the high school seniors who have been accepted or are currently enrolled in college, university, or trade school. The following scholarship program asks you to write an essay of 2500+ words describing in detail the last love sporting event you attended. There are three different topics for you to write on given in detail later in the article. The scholarship amount will be paid directly to the winner’s college or university via cheque and can only be used for tuition purposes.

The entry to the scholarship program is free and does not ask for any fees or payments for participating. The candidate must be 18 years of age and must be a legal resident of the U.S. The essays submitted will be judged based on grammar, organization, originality, creativity, quality, and descriptive style. Other requirements regarding the essay are described in detail later in the article. The final winner will be decided by ClicketTicket and will be notified on or around December 10, 2021. If you don’t hear back, assume you were not the winner.

Who is Eligible?

Following are the eligibility requirements that need to be satisfied for participating in the following scholarship contest:

  • High school seniors who have been accepted into a college, university, or trade school are eligible.
  • Students who are currently enrolled in a college, university, or trade school are eligible.
  • You must be 18 years old or older.
  • You must be a citizen or lawful resident of the United States to apply.
  • You must be able to verify enrollment.
  • You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA currently.
  • Your institution must be accredited and listed on the official website of the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Applicants attending military academies are ineligible for this scholarship. All school transfers are subject to accreditation approval.
  • One entry per applicant (Applicants who submit more than one entry will be disqualified).
  • ClickitTicket employees and immediate family members of current ClickitTicket employees are not eligible to participate.

How to Apply?

The interested individuals are required to write an essay on one of the following topics:

  • Describe in detail the last live sporting event you went to (preferably a college game, but any live game will do!) and include the teams that played, the outcome, and what the whole experience was like. Possible examples include the Edmonton Oilers or the Boston Red Sox.
  • Describe in detail the last live concert you attended, including the band/artist you saw and what the whole experience was like. Possible examples include Celine Dion, Elton John, or Twenty One Pilots.
  • Describe in detail the last live theater performance you’ve been to, including the show you saw, the theater it was in, and what the entire experience was like (it could be a school play, and college theater performance, a dance performance, or even a Broadway show!). Possible examples include Wicked the Musical or The Book of Mormon.

Following instructions need to be kept in mind while submitting your essay:

  • Essays must be in blog format posted online where the general public can view them. It can be on your website or blog, or a personal blog on your university website.
  • Word count: minimum of 2500 words, maximum 4500 words.
  • Essays will be judged based on grammar, organization, creativity, originality, quality, and descriptive style.
  • You must also include one picture in your blog post that is related to your topic, preferably (but not required) an actual picture of the live event you’re writing about.
  • Videos may be used in place of photos.
  • Videos should not exceed one minute.
  • You can include more than one image or video, but no more than 4 total.
  • An entry is an original essay of 2500+ words and a maximum of 4500 words that includes at least one original, related image (applicants who submit plagiarized text or images will be disqualified, and it takes us two seconds to check).
  • Email us at scholarships{@} (remove the brackets) and include the website address (URL) of your original blog post essay for us to review.


All the entries will be reviewed and judged, and out of all, the most deserving candidate will be chosen and be announced as the winner. The winner will be awarded a one-time scholarship amount of $500. The amount will directly be transferred to the winner’s college or university.

The deadline for application submission for the following scholarship is December 1, 2021. No applications will be considered after the deadline.
