City University of New York PhD Fellowships in Applied History/Public History 

The City University of New York is actively offering excellent PhD fellowship programs for all students interested in public history and institutional history. The university has established these programs in partnership with the Rockefeller Archive Center. Both doctoral and M.A. students are encouraged to apply for these fellowship programs.

Who May Be Eligible?

The eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • Both doctoral and M.A. students who are interested in research in the subject of history are eligible for these fellowships.

How to Apply

To apply, candidates should submit all the required details and materials before the deadline. All of the required materials should be authentic. Incomplete application will be rejected. Interested students should fill the fellowship form as soon as possible.

Supporting Documents

Applicants will have to provide these supporting documents with their application:

  • A one-page summary of their research subject must be submitted by students. Applicants should include a cover sheet with their name, discipline, whether they are in a doctoral or master’s program.
  • A short overview of why, in terms of their professional ambitions, they are participating in the fellowship.

Benefits

The fellowship is offering up to eight $1,250 fellowships for outstanding participants in a history course for Spring, 2021. These fellowships help the students in their studies and increase their knowledge in the field of history.

Application Deadline

Applications should be submitted before November 6, 2020. Students should submit their application before or on the deadline with all the needed documents. Application submitted after the deadline is not accepted.
