Who May Be Eligible

Applicants who meet the following requirements can qualify for this opportunity:

  • Children (natural, legally adopted, or stepchildren on Chevron’s benefits plans) of active U.S.-payroll employees of Chevron and its wholly-owned subsidiaries as of the scholarship selection date;
  • Applicants must be current high school seniors who will be entering freshman or current college freshman enrolled in a full-time course of study in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year;
  • Candidates must have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

 How to Apply

Interested candidates can apply for this scholarship through the online portal of Scholarship America where they need to log in or create a new account to access the online application form.  Applicants are required to fill out all correct and complete information once they get access to the application form. Decisions will be made based on the authenticity of the information given in the form.

Supporting Documents

Applicants must send a current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, and the term in which each course was taken.

Benefits

Worthy candidates will receive an award ranging from $1,500 to $2,000 per year if they show genuine financial need. A scholarship of $2,000 will be granted to each candidate to attend a four-year college while a scholarship worth $1,500 will get awarded to those who are up to attend a two-year college or vocational-technical school. Qualified students demonstrating no financial need will qualify for a one-time honorarium.
