The Cherokee Phoenix has organized an Art Contest for students studying in third to eighth grades. In this contest, children have to redesign the Cherokee Phoenix logo. This contest will bring children inner creativity and thinking capacity in the artwork.
The winner will be selected based on public votes and a T-shirt that will display their artwork. The winner will receive a grand prize worth a $100 gift prize. This will motivate children to expand their creativity and thinking and build knowledge about newspapers and all related things.
The Cherokee Phoenix is an American Newspaper. It was founded in the year 1828 in New Echota, Georgia. The mission of this Newspaper is to work as a tool for eliciting widespread public support and keeping the Cherokee Nation united, informed, and updated during this crisis.

How to Apply?
The students who want to apply for this contest should make their artwork and submit it hand-drawn as no photocopied internet images will be allowed in 3 ways. To enter in this contest, students have to sign a waiver that includes their name, grade, and school as well as their parents signature and send it via person and visit the office located on 22210 S. Huckleberry Circle, Room 231 in the Annex Building (Old Motel) on the Tribal Complex. Or can be mailed on Cherokee Phoenix, P.O. Box 948, Tahlequah, OK 74465. Benefits
Students who will participate in this contest will be selected based on public votes, held on May 16-17, and the winner will receive a grand prize worth $100, and their design printed shirt and their design will also be used in editorials. This will let children know about Newspaper and how it works, build up their creativity, and expand their thinking capacity about things to visualize and represent.
