Who May Be Eligible

If you meet these requirements, then you will be eligible to get consideration:

  • Recipients of the scholarships must be graduating high school seniors or undergraduate college students who are in good standing;
  • Applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 25 years old;
  • Candidates should be planning to enrol or currently enrolled in a two- or four-year college or vocational school on a part-time or full-time basis;
  • Aspirants must be United States citizens or legal residents;
  • Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

How to Apply

Applicants should complete and submit the online application. Upon receiving the application, candidates, who have applied, will receive a notification that the application was received. Applicants send their entry through the online portal of Scott Alan Turner where they will be presented with an online application form.

Supporting Documents

Interested applicants need to compose a 500-word essay in their favourite word processor and then pasting the finished product into their form. The essay must be explaining what your family taught you/didn’t teach you about money/personal finance and what you’ve learned about money on your own, from friends, and school. Examples include spending, saving, investing, student loans, budgeting, and credit cards.

Benefits

Two scholarships will be awarded to eligible applicants:

  • $1,000 scholarship (one year, non-renewable) to a high-school senior
  • $1,000 scholarship (one year, non-renewable) to a currently enrolled undergraduate student.
