The Creative Commons has made an announcement of their Art Contest named Open Culture Remix. This Contest is being conducted to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Creative Commons License, to share better heritage throughout the world. Better cultural heritage sharing has the ability to unleash enormous creative potential as people remix content in new and unique ways. Their goal for #CCSharesCulture is to highlight the incredible creativity that open access to cultural heritage can inspire. They may demonstrate how open access has a positive impact on contemporary culture and innovation outside of institutional contexts, as well as how it is a true engine for cultural and social progress. The Contest is open to everyone who is aged 18 years or older and from anywhere from the world. The theme for this Contest is kept as “Love Culture? Share Culture!”.
Theme conformance, theme expression, originality, inventiveness, quality, artistic expression, personal expression, aesthetic appeal, and the overall effect will be used to rate the artworks. A panel of 5 judges, open culture and/or open creative experts, will also consider the brief descriptions that accompany the artworks. Total ten winners will be selected for awards, where 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive cash prizes of $1000, $500, and $250; the other six will receive honorable mentions; and more. Among those finalists, a winner will get selected for the public choice award by public votes.
The Creative Commons was founded on January 15, 2001., and is a non-profit organization that works to remove legal barriers to the sharing of information and creativity in order to address the world’s most pressing issues. Creative Commons creates, supports, and manages legal and technical infrastructure to promote digital creativity, sharing, and innovation.

How to Apply?
Interested participants should make their original artwork relevant to the theme and share their culture. To enter the contest participant must fill out the form and fill in their details properly. The artwork must be supported by a short description that describes the story behind the artwork; and should also include how the artwork conveys their emotions and related to the theme, participants must also add a title and share a personal profile of themselves. Benefits

Also, their name and artwork and its description will be published on the Creative Commons Website, will be promoted by creative commons online media channels, and for other possible promotional and editorial purposes. This will cheer up students and share their best artwork conveying their culture.
Application Deadline
All participants are requested to submit their original artwork and read all the rules and other things related to this contest and submit their entry before the due date i.e. April 30, 2022. Any delay in submission will lead to rejection.
