The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc. is pleased to offer Career & Technical Scholarships. The program is open for students who pursue a career or technical education at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States.
Members and friends of the Horatio Algeria Association have funded the need-based college scholarship for low-income youth to pursue their dreams through higher education. These are awarded up to $2,500 each.

Who May Eligible
Eligibility Criteria:
- Students must have completed high school (or earned a high school equivalency credential)
- Applicants will be enrolled in an eligible program in Fall 2019
- Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program (up to 2 years) at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States
- Demonstrated critical financial need (must be eligible to receive the Federal Pell grant as determined by completion of the FAFSA)
- Demonstrated perseverance in overcoming adversity
- Candidates must be under the age of 30
- Candidates must be a United States citizen

Application Deadline
The Horatio Alger Career & Technical Education Scholarship application will close on June 15 each year. In order to be considered, your application and all required materials must be uploaded to your online application by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on June 15.
